Community Guidelines

Last updated 21 August 2026

Torihub is for gist, hustle and community. These rules keep it fun and keep people safe. They apply to posts, comments, stories, chats, listings and anonymous content alike.

Do

  • Share gist, news and events that are useful to your city.
  • Back up claims. If you can't prove it, don't post it as fact.
  • Hype creators you enjoy, and keep arguments about ideas, not people.
  • Report anything that breaks these rules — reports are private.

Don't

  • Name and accuse: publishing someone's name with unproven claims of crime, fraud or misconduct is defamation and gets removed. Repeat offences are permanent bans.
  • Nudity, sexual content or gore. Uploads are screened automatically before they publish.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech targeting who someone is, or coordinated pile-ons.
  • Doxxing: phone numbers, addresses, IDs, screenshots of private chats, or a real name behind an anonymous account.
  • Scams, fake giveaways, fake sales, coin-doubling offers or asking people to pay outside the app for boosted placement.
  • Spam, bulk posting, engagement farming or multiple accounts to amplify yourself.
  • Impersonating people, businesses, moderators or Torihub staff.
  • Anything involving minors in a sexual or exploitative context — this is reported to the authorities immediately.

Anonymous posting

Anonymous mode hides your handle from other users so people can speak freely about real issues. Tagging is disabled on anonymous posts and their comment threads. Anonymity does not lower the standard: the same rules and the same enforcement apply.

Marketplace and vendors

  • Only verified vendors can list items. Verification exists to reduce scams.
  • List accurately: real photos, real prices, real availability, real location.
  • Never ask a buyer to pay before meeting when you have no track record — and meet in public places.

How enforcement works

  • Automatic checks: image safety screening and a name-in-post warning before you publish.
  • Reports go to moderators, who can remove content, lock a thread or restrict an account.
  • Escalating action: warning, content removal, temporary suspension, permanent ban.
  • Severe breaches (child safety, credible threats, fraud) skip straight to a permanent ban.
  • Every action can be appealed through the Support hub, and we answer every appeal.
